Best-selling consoles
- Sony's PlayStation 2 is the best-selling console, with more than 160 million units sold worldwide.
- The handheld Nintendo DS is the second-best-selling console, selling 154.02 million units worldwide. Most sales came from the Nintendo DS Lite, at 93.86 million units.
- The Nintendo Entertainment System was the best-selling console of its time, selling 61.91 million units worldwide. As of 2025, it is the fourteenth-best-selling console.
