This is a list of faculties and divisions of the University of Toronto including their associated academic departments and notable extra-departmental units (EDUs).

Definitions

  • "Division" or "faculty" — the highest level below the university itself, each has a dedicated registrar's office, and may have its own academic departments or EDUs. They are sometimes called a "school," such as in the case of the Rotman School of Management, or "institute" as the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. The University of Toronto Mississauga and University of Toronto Scarborough have dual roles as both divisions and campuses.
  • "Academic unit" — a department or EDU.
  • "Department" — a unit within a faculty/division dedicated to a focused academic area.
  • "Extra-departmental unit" ("EDU") — similar to a department but usually has more autonomy, sometimes only dedicated to research. EDUs are affiliated with a division. They are often called "centres" or "schools," such as in the case of the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy.
